The solubility of Barium Sulfate ( BaSO4) in the water at 20℃ is 0.0002448 g/100 mL. So if we have 1 gram of Barium Sulfate, we have to calculate it by using the cross multiplication method.
0.0002448g - 100mL
1g - ?
= 1 X 100/0.0002448
= 408496 mL
= 408.5 L
Hence you will need 408.5 litres of water to dissolve 1 gram of Barium Sulfate.
